A packed sale ring and lively bidding ensured a complete clearance of females on offer and a top price of 620gns for a shearling ram from E O Williams, Talybont On Usk being purchased by S Forsyth, Sennybridge.
Top female call was for a pair of Shearling ewes again from E O Williams, which sold at 325gns a piece being purchased by Mr M Harris, Llanishen, Chepstow who also took the Williams' top priced ewe lambs at 210gns a piece.

Mr & Mrs Wise, Bracknell, Berks had a highly successful visit to Abergavenny taking both the Male & Female Championships. The female Championship was awarded to their first prize pair of Shearling ewes which went onto sell to Mr M Harris at 320gns a piece.
The Male Championship was awarded to the Wises' 1st prize 2yo Ram which was later sold at 500gns to Mr Evan Stead, Senghenyyd, Caerphilly.
William Workman, Trecastle always has a strong presence at this annual event and actually took the Points Award on this occasion.
His first prize and reserve champion ewe lambs sold at 200gns a piece to new member and multiple buyer Mike Harris.
The 2nd prize older ram from D & R Rowlands sold at 440gns to Messrs Haxall & James, Llandysul, Carms. Shearling rams sold well with William Workman making 450gns for the 2nd prize winner, selling to J Cole, Ivybridge, Devon, and J D Evans, Llandysul selling at 480gns to G & E Lloyd, Carmarthen.
Ram Lambs sold to 560gns for one from the Flock of the late E D Williams, Pentyrch being purchased by the Bowden Family, with relative newcomers A & S James, Llangadog selling the 2nd prize lamb for 460gns to William Workman.
Glenda Hughes sold another at 390gns to Les Jones, Painscastle, whilst purchasing one at 310gns from the late E D Williams' Flock.
