Top price at the Annual Show & Sale of Black Welsh Mountain Sheep on 1st September 2005 in Abergavenny was taken by the 1st prize shearling ram shown by Association Chairman Mr Edward Williams, Pentyrch, Cardiff. The buyers at 650 gns were Messrs Davies, Llanbrynmair, Powys.

Next highest call at 550 gns was again for a shearling ram, this time the 2nd prize sold by E O Williams, Talybont On Usk, Brecon to Mr Reynard-Robinson, Harrogate, Yorks. E O Williams sold another shearling ram at 350 gns to Mr Mark Evans, Gower.
Highest price in the ram lamb section was the 370 gns paid by G Wyn Hughes, Caernarfon for an entry from Mr J Griffiths, Rhiwderin, Newport.
Mr Ed Williams, Cardiff sold his 1st prize and female champion shearling ewes at 200 gns each to Mrs M Griffiths, Rockfield, Monmouth, and another pair at 140 gns each to Mr Whistondale, Amberley, Glos.
T & C Williams sold the 2nd prize pair at 120 gns to M D & T J Evans, Pontrilas, Herefords. The same price was paid for each of the 3 pairs shown by E O Williams, selling 2 pairs to Mrs Griffiths, Monmouth and 1 pair to C Garn, Monmouth.
1st prize in the pair of ewe lambs class was awarded to M D & T J Evans selling at 155 gns each to M J Beavan, Cwmyoy, Abergavenny.
Top price in the section was the 230 gns a piece paid for the 2nd prize entry from D & R Rowlands, Anglesey and purchased by Mathew Price, Upper Chapel, Brecon. E O Williams sold their 4th prize pair at 120gns each to C Garn, Monmouth.
